Nothing Went Wrong, And That Was Bad

So, I work as the Manager in a store that specializes in custom products.  This women and her husband came in and placed an order for a holiday gift.  We don't actually have alot of the product in the store, the cust orders from a cataloge with a sample in it. This peticular item was a paper product so the sample wasn't a pic but an actual mock up glued to a page.  The customer loved the look and ordered the exact same thing, no changes, at all.  So a couple of weeks go by, (thats how long production and shipping takes) and the product is recieved and it's perfect, shocker since there was no originality to it.  The cust., woman, only comes in to pick it up and it looks good she pays the balance and goes home.  A week later she calls to complain the colors are wrong.  I expalin we checked the order and it is what she ordered, shes unhappy but understands.  The next day her husband calls demanding a full refund because we screwed up, I tell him the same thing I told her, so they decided to come in because I'm clearly not getting it over the phone.  So I show them the sample compared to their order and sure enough they are EXACTLY the same... so they call customer service and file a complaint!  The dist. manager comes out and views it all and agrees there is nothing wrong with there order, but gives them 50% back anyway!!! AUUUGHHHHHH!!!!!!! Why are we rewaring stupid people for stupid hissy fits?

Lemme guess, this was all over maybe $10, and the customer spent half that in gas driving back to the store, LOL.
